Welcome to Comments & Rants.
My name is Michel Coutu and I took an extended vacation from my 30+ years IT career.
Although it seems that there is a lot of free time around, unfortunately there does not seem to be more time available to me any way! I still dabble in computer stuff on a daily basis. I have a home network with a lot of various machines and I seem to be constantly fiddling with it. Well, I guess this is my prerogative.
In these pages, I discuss whatever goes through my mind at the time, most specially on the current state of affairs in the computer, Internet, Operating Systems, whatever.
I am obviously biased in my own ways. Having seen this industry grow from nothing to what it is today is, to say the least, mind boggling. This environment has passed the adolescence stage and is getting into adulthood. What this basically mean, is that there are a lot of growing pains to deal with and most specifically how the traditional Business Models are adapting to the Web 2.0 Environment. There will be lots of these social comments.
